DIRECTOR & CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD, ENERJET & CHAIRMAN OF THE SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT / COMPENSATION COMMITTEE
Mr. Jansson has been a Board member of Enerjet since October, 2008.
With over 40 years in the banking industry, holding positions such as Chief Operating Officer at Prospera Credit Union, Senior Vice President at ATB Financial Calgary, President and CEO at Coast Capital Savings Credit Union and President and CEO at Richmond Savings Credit Union. He has held a multitude of senior positions at banking institutions over many years, responsible for overseeing multiple banking institutions across regions, across the country.
Mr. Jansson completed his Bachelor of Arts in History at State University of New York at Buffalo in addition to completing Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Leadership at Seton Hall University South Orange, New Jersey.
Mr. Jansson has held such board positions as Chairman and Governor, Vancouver Board of Trade, Chairman VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation. Mr. Jansson currently does volunteer work for VGH and the Canadian Cancer Society.
DIRECTOR, ENERJET AND CHAIRMAN - AUDIT COMMITTEE
Mr. Melchin has been a Board member of Enerjet since December, 2008 and currently resides as chairman of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Melchin served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Minister of the Crown, including Minister of Revenue and Minister of Energy. Mr. Melchin left elected office in March of 2008.
Mr. Melchin received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1980, his F.C.A. designation in 2004 and his Institute of Corporate Directors designation in June of 2007.
Mr. Melchin serves on the board of Baytex Energy Corporation (a public oil and gas company), Enmax Corporation (a utility owned by the City of Calgary), Milligan Biotech Inc. (a private biodiesel company), Total Energy Services Company and serves as Chair of PPP Canada Inc., an incorporated federal Crown corporation established to work with the public and private sectors to support the development of public-private partnerships in public infrastructure projects.
DIRECTOR ENERJET AND CHAIRMAN, CORPORATE GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE
Mr. McKenzie has been a Board member of Enerjet since September, 2007 and currently resides as Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee.
After graduating from the Alberta College of Art & Design's Visual Communications program he gained real-world experience with a local advertising agency before setting out on his own.
As a founding partner of Creative Intelligence Inc. or 'Ci' the intervening years saw the agency grow steadily in both client roster and stature, garnering dozens of awards and impressive account wins along the way.
In addition to overseeing creative vision and direction, Mr. McKenzie brings expertise in strategic planning and account direction and has extensive experience in handling complex accounts. Always committed to the creative process, he believes the best possible results stem from a unique understanding of the principles of marketing and brand management - and from a guiding belief that an agency's foremost responsibility is to get results. His expertise has been recognized with numerous local and national creative awards, including CASA, Summit and Ad Rodeo honours.
Mr. McKenzie has applied his considerable experience to a number of high profile accounts including the launch of WestJet Airlines, Mac's Convenience Stores, Superior Propane, The Calgary Herald, Sanjel Corporation, SAIT Polytechnic, Calaway Park, StreetSide Development Corporation, the University of Lethbridge and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. He also served as Senior Account Director and Account Advisor for WestJet, consulting on the airline's investor, public and media relations. He played an integral role in media planning and partnership negotiations for the airline.
Mr. McKenzie was also heavily involved in the launch of the new airline, Enerjet as well as an advisory role in the development of the hybrid, heavy lift airship, SkyHookHLV.
In addition to Enerjet, Mr. McKenzie serves as Director on the board of PCCN Calgary and is the lead designer for the Lions Festival of Lights Society.
THOMAS W. MORGAN, PRESIDENT, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND DIRECTOR, ENERJET
Thomas W. Morgan is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Enerjet since October 2006. Prior to joining Enerjet, Mr. Morgan was a founder of WestJet Airlines and during his 10 years with that company held senior positions ranging from Chief Pilot and Director Flight Operations to Executive Vice President responsible for all flight operations including Maintenance and In-flight. Mr. Morgan was actively involved in the growth of WestJet Airlines from start-up to 52 new Boeing 737NG aircraft serving North America with both scheduled and charter services and he was the leader of 550 pilots, 1200 flight attendants and 300 maintenance engineers. Mr. Morgan is also a long time Airline transport pilot having flown for several commercial and airline operations in Canada. He is at present a current Captain on the Boeing 737NG.
In 1983, Mr. Morgan founded Morgan Air LLP consisting of Air Partners Corp, Aircraft Works and Unity Group. He has presided as President, organizing and setting up a fixed based operation including flight training, charter and management of corporate aircraft leasing and maintenance servicing Western Canada. In 2005 Mr. Morgan reorganized the operation into Air Partners Corp operating a fleet of 10 corporate and charter aircraft throughout North America. Aircraft Works has taken over all the maintenance for the companies inclusive of providing service for outside companies. Unity Group now oversees all leasing specifically a fleet of 5 DHC-6/300 aircraft.
Mr. Morgan has also held the following Board of Directors positions: WestJet Airlines (Toronto Stock Exchange) from June 1996 to January 2006; Aero Mechanical Services (TSX Venture Exchange) from January 2001 to June 2005; Black Dog Resources (TSX Venture Exchange) from August 2005 to October 2014; and Mount Royal College Foundation from February 2004 to January 2009. Other achievements include Entrepreneur of the Year for Canada 2000 and Entrepreneur of the World for Teamwork 2000.
DARCY MORGAN, CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER AND DIRECTOR, ENERJET
Darcy Morgan is Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Information Officer of Enerjet. Previously he held the position of Vice President of Business Development and Integration. He is responsible for sales and marketing in all lines of business and for the integration of information technology. Darcy Morgan has been a Board Member of Enerjet since September 2007.
Mr. Morgan was previously employed with SAP, the provider of premier enterprise business software, and with IBM, the leading technology and integration company. Through 20 years of business experience in sales, marketing and information technology, Darcy held a wide range of positions. He has been responsible for business development, executive account management, channel development, public sector relations, and liaison with industry bodies.
Darcy is a graduate of the Haskayne School of Business in Calgary. He is an alumnus of and contributor to Haskayne's award-winning Inter-Collegiate Business Competition Team.
Darcy held the position of Board Member for Black Dog Resources (TSX Venture Exchange), a gas and oil producer based in Calgary from August 2005 to October 2014. He previously served on the Board of his local community association for several years, and in 2007 was presented with a City of Calgary "Lion" award for his efforts in municipal heritage preservation.
MICHAEL HOLDITCH, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND DIRECTOR, ENERJET
Michael S. Holditch is the Chief Financial Officer of Enerjet, appointed in December of 2015. A Calgary-based Chartered Accountant (1992) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary (1988), Michael spent six years with the international accounting and advisory services firm KPMG, completing his tenure in their Financial Advisory Services Group as a manager specializing in Corporate Finance and Business Valuations. Mr. Holditch joined the Calgary Flames Limited Partnership in 1994 as Controller, transitioning to the role of Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer in 1996.
At the Calgary Flames Michael held several positions of increasing responsibility spanning finance, operations and marketing, and including 14 years as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. Directly responsible for the operation of the Flames’ American Hockey League affiliates, Michael has decades of experience dealing with consumer brands, marketing seats with a limited shelf life, programs designed to maximize ancillary revenues, and managing complex employment, supply, risk and asset contracts.
In 2003 Mr. Holditch joined the Flames’ Hockey Operations group – taking on the title of Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations and Assistant General Manager. In that capacity his responsibilities included the day-to-day direction of hockey operations including Collective Bargaining Agreement interpretation and management, team development, risk management, administration and tracking of player compensation, salary cap management, player contract negotiations, player salary arbitration, scheduling and contract review and documentation.
Along with his several management roles, Mr. Holditch also held advisory and governance board positions with the American Hockey League, the Western Hockey League, Higher Learning (an entrepreneurial venture) and has been involved with multiple charitable organizations including the Flames Foundation for Life. In 2015 Michael joined the inaugural Board of Directors of Foothills Lemonade Day Ltd., a local not-for-profit entity incorporated to introduce entrepreneurism to Alberta youth – Michael continues to serve as Treasurer of this organization.
